Another Level
The AnotherLevelConsulting.com website belongs to Kathryn for her human resource services and executive coaching business. I had previously worked with Kat on her theatre company website so we managed to get this site up and running quite quickly.
The site has a PHP contact form and 4 content pages. I particularly like the logo, which I did for her in Adobe Illustrator, and it fits in well with the business area, the company name and the website.
Snippets from the Another Level website: This is a training, coaching, and advisory consultancy that's all about you. What we do is help you achieve your highest potential, and that's you as an individual, or you as an organisation. The company also provide volunteer opportunities for people in and around Bedford, helping them to obtain the skills and confidence when getting back into work.
The website is easy to use and supports different font sizes for the poor sighted as well as simple navigation and lots of links. The site has a PHP contact form and uses Google Maps to direct people to their premises.

You Can Be More
The youcanbemore.co.uk website is a hypnotherapy, nlp and coaching site.
It took sometime to come up with a template that Sandra liked as examples on the internet are few and far between. Most sites in that category appeared to be built using a generic website builder like the ones you get for free with most web hosting or were "watch on a chain" types. I put together a few designs and Sandra chose one with some pictures to go with it from stock photo sites and I did the logo using Adobe Illustrator.
Snippets from the You Can Be More website: We can help with an individually tailored programme of coaching that can be done face to face or by phone (including internet telephony) with e-mail back up. Sessions are usually an hour. You can have a single session or several on a weekly basis over the period you wish. Where we can help; Interview Preparation, Public Speaking, Build Confidence, Improve Self-Esteem, Assertiveness, Anger Management, Control Emotions, Reduce Insomnia, Control Panic Attacks, Stop Smoking, Stress Management, Relaxation Techniques, Exams, Self Hypnosis and much more.
KatAlyst Productions
The katalystproductions.org.uk website belongs to Kat and Andy. Andy put together a design of how he wanted the home page to look and I made it into a website template. Apart from the home page, I put together a few of the other pages including the About Us page and the Past Productions pages. Andy and Kat provided the wording and the pictures and Andy put together the remaining pages.
The About Us page uses the sidebar to select a team member and find out more about them and the Past Production pages use a similar technique but also have a photo gallery for each production. The pictures on the About Us page and those in the photo galleries can be clicked on to enlarge and have a lightbox type effect.
Snippets from the KatAlyst Productions website: KatAlyst aims to bring together the talents and resources of both experienced older, and talented young people who enjoy live performance. We aim to be a "Katalyst for Change" in community theatre by allowing all our members to learn from one another, and giving opportunities to the younger ones to job shadow directors/choreographers and technicians as well as perform to grow their natural enthusiasm and abilities.
Pro-Tech Roof Solutions
The Pro-TechRoofSolutions.com website belongs to Tom and Richard. They knew what they wanted from a website but didn't have the time to put it together themselves. They contacted me and I designed a new site and got it up and running in a couple of days. We then added some extra content pages when they became available.
The top graphic was designed by Maria Fox. Some of the pages have nice features like the dynamic PHP 5 photo gallery and the roof viewer using Google Earth/Maps.
Snippets from the Pro-Tech Roof Solutions website: Pro-Tech innovative ceramic based acrylic coating not only enhances the look of your property but increases the life span of your roof as well. This proven technology developed by NASA and backed by ENERGYSTAR can now be applied to your roof to increase your insulation and reduce your energy bills. We clean all moss and lichen from your roof surface and we replace any cracked or broken tiles and pointing. We use a spore inhibitor to minimise moss regrowth and applying two coats of our acrylic based coating containing microsheric ceramic spheres which play a part in insulating your home.
Collaborative
The Collaborative.org.uk website belongs to Sandra. She had been running her business for sometime and wanted to give her website a fresh look when she contacted me.
I worked up some examples and she made her selections and provided me with the text and images she wanted to include. The site was designed by me but the top graphic came from TemplatesBox although I had to amend it.
Snippets from the Collaborative website: Collaborative offer a range of services to ensure you can focus on your business whilst knowing that HR support is just a call away. Ad Astra Driving School
The DriveAdAstra.com.au website belongs to Craig and Sharon. They contacted me shortly after they emigrated to Australia as they were setting up a driving school. They provided me with some graphics and wording and I built the site.
The navigation uses a method known as hijax, which is based on ajax but has a nice fallback to normal page navigation for users with JavaScript disabled. Their business has been very successful and had 50 driving test (practical) passes in the first year of trading.
Snippets from the Ad Astra Driving School website: We are a small, family run business where the emphasis is very firmly on the quality of your driving instruction. Our aim is not just to get you through your driving test! Our aim is to produce a safe driver, a driver equipped with the basic skills and aptitude to become a competent driver - to progress to your 'P' plates and beyond. Our instructors are qualified to Certificate IV in Driving Instruction.
Feel Good Now!
The FeelGood-Now.co.uk website belongs to Sallie and she contacted me to get her new site up and running.
Sallie purchased a website template and I set about modifying it so that it could be used for her site. Originally the template in Adobe Flash was meant for a photographers gallery. Sallie had a lot of textual content she wanted to include which it wasn't designed for, plus she wanted lots of modifications to the layout, like removing the photo navigation. In the end we decided to scrap the Flash side of things and just use the photos that she liked.
I created a template based on the original Flash template and took the music and photos from the template. It utilises a JavaScript technology known as Ajax to swap the photo and page content when changing pages without restarting the music score, which it does when changing pages without Ajax.
Snippets from the Feel Good Now website: Are you serious about feeling different and making real changes in your life? Then, find out more right now. I'd like to invite you to take one step towards achieving everything you want in life... and finally, completely change your life. Hypnosis as a very powerful method for personal transformation. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) sessions to make emotional and behavioural changes, how you feel, act and re-act. Personal Coaching for focus, to achieve your goals, hopes and dreams in all and any area of your life.
Parchment Patterns
The ParchmentPatterns.com website belongs to my wife, Gilly. She wanted a site to sell the parchment craft patterns that she designs and she purchased the Interspire Shopping Cart for this purpose.
I had previously created my own shopping cart but that site was for physical goods rather than digital downloads so it was easier to purchase the Interspire one.
I had to modify the shopping cart software to give it the functionality that Gilly required. I also look after technical side of the site like the upgrades that Interspire release. She has a periodic newsletter, which I run for her via Stored Email.
Snippets from the Parchment Patterns website: Parchment crafting has taken over all of my spare time (of which there is never enough!). I've always been quite creative and in the last year I have experimented with making projects using my own designs, which I have found as exciting and enjoyable as the parchment craft itself. I have got together some of my designs and made them into patterns with full instructions for completing each project. I decided to make the patterns downloadable as I know from experience having ordered patterns I can't wait to get them in the post and get started on them. I have lots of ideas for projects that I want to try out, including projects other than card making such as scrapbook pages, and will be adding new patterns to the site regularly.
